Pet and Odor Removal Tips

Carpet
To remove cat and dog urine, feces and vomit stains and odors from your carpet, first blot up as much of the waste as possible with a clean, white, absorbent cloth, then simply spray PAWS – Pet Accident Washup Solution or a dilution of Bio-OX Citrus Concentrate on the soiled area, allowing it to penetrate for approximately 5 minutes. Using a clean, white, absorbent cloth, blot the area, pressing down firmly (do not rub) for 30 seconds. Repeat this blotting process until the area is dry. If the odor persists, repeat the process. Place a clean, white, absorbent cloth and a couple of heavy books on top of the spot to absorb moisture. Leave overnight, then vacuum as usual. Always blot carpet stains; don’t rub them, so as not to damage the carpet fibers. Work the stain from the outside in, so as not to spread the stain any further. PAWS will do an excellent job on old pet stains and odors too.
Linoleum, Vinyl, Ceramic Tile and Marble
To remove cat and dog urine, feces and vomit stains and odors from a linoleum, vinyl, ceramic tile or marble floor, simply spray PAWS – Pet Accident Washup Solution or a dilution of Bio-OX Citrus Concentrate on the soiled area, then allow it to penetrate for approximately 5 minutes. Wipe clean.
Mattress
Liquid spills, such as that of urine and vomit can saturate absorbent materials, such as a mattress, well beyond the surface area that can effectively be cleaned, leaving behind stains and odors. It is extremely difficult to remove an entire liquid spill from inside a mattress, thereby creating ideal conditions for bacteria and mold growth (and thus malodors). However, you might not be ready to replace your mattress just yet. First, blot up as much of the liquid spill as possible with a clean, white, absorbent cloth. Then, simply spray a product such as PAWS – Pet Accident Washup Solution or a dilution of Bio-OX Citrus Concentrate on the soiled area. Allow PAWS or Bio-OX to penetrate for approximately 5 minutes. Using a clean, white, absorbent cloth, blot the area, pressing down firmly (do not rub) for 30 seconds. Repeat this blotting process until the area is dry. If the stain odor persists, repeat the process.
Litter Box Odors
A clean smelling litter box helps keep cat urine odor from invading your home. For maximum pet odor removal, clean out your cat´s litter box with PAWS – Pet Accident Washup Solution or a dilution of Bio-OX Citrus Concentrate. Simply spray the empty litter pan. Let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe clean with a cloth or paper towel. No rinsing necessary. Fill with clean litter. Cleaning your litter pan with PAWS or Bio-OX once a week will ensure a fresh smelling litter box, which means, a fresher smelling home.
Upholstery Odors
If your furniture is starting to pick up the smell of your pets, use PAWS – Pet Accident Washup Solution or a dilution of Bio-OX Citrus Concentrate for maximum pet odor removal. Simply spray your upholstery with PAWS or Bio-OX, let it sit for several minutes, then blot with a dry cloth.
Birdcage
To clean a bird cage, spray the area with PAWS – Pet Accident Washup Solution or a dilution of Bio-OX Citrus Concentrate. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, then wipe clean. For easier bird cage cleaning, stack seven or eight pages of old newspaper in the bottom of your bird cage, and remove them one at a time as they become soiled. This will not only save you from having to deal with waste directly on the bottom of the cage, but it will also save time since you won’t have to keep lining the cage with clean newspaper.
